Extended Outline Template: Due November 13
Lead-ins, Transitions, and Citations PPT (use this to help you through your extended outline and rough draft) Formatting your paper. Do this in word and then move it into Google. Hooks: Make sure that you're creating an interesting start to your paper. If it bores you, it will bore your reader too. Look at the attached and focus in on rhetorical questions (these are not easy to do) and "Imagine" and "Startling Statistic/ Fact" -these three may help with your paper. ( I know that the link is for speeches, but it is good information to apply to hook a reader with your paper too.) Conclusion: Rememeber, this is where you tie it all together. What is it you want your readers to get out of your paper/ have understood as a result of reading it and then what do you want them to do or believe as a result? Peer Editing checklists: Look at the PPT and be sure to check your paper against it. Review the green assignment sheet and the rubric too.
